About DreamWall

A living archivewritten by the public.

DreamWall is a participatory public art experience turning the walls of our cities into living archives of what we hope for — together.

"the wall is blank until you write on it."

01 · Mission

Public spaces should hold public dreams.

DreamWall transforms underused walls, storefronts, galleries, and gathering spaces into living archives — shaped by the people who move through them. Every activation is co-authored with the community it lives in.

02 · Origin

It started with one sentence.

DreamWall was founded as an invitation: leave one honest sentence behind. From a single chalk wall to traveling installations and projection art, the project has grown into a multi-city cultural activation rooted in joy, memory, and possibility.

03 · Community Impact

Walls become witnesses.

Each activation gathers neighbors, students, performers, vendors, and elders around the same wall. Selected dreams become projections, performances, hand-lettered murals, and contributions to the permanent DreamWall archive.

04 · How activations work

Art, performance, and open participation.

DreamWall moves between outdoor public installations, indoor cultural venues, workshops, and live performance nights. Walls are activated through projection, paint, paper, chalk, and sound — always finished by the community.

05 · Artists & Collaborators

Built with local hands.

We work with visual artists, poets, performers, facilitators, vendors, venues, and cultural organizations from each city we land in. The wall is a stage; the city is the cast.

06 · Public art philosophy

Art is not finished by an artist.

It's finished by everyone who shows up. DreamWall belongs to a tradition of public, participatory, and ephemeral art — placing creative authorship in the hands of the people who share the space.

07 · Future vision

A living archive across cities.

Future chapters will travel between neighborhoods and cities, carrying the archive forward — pairing each new wall with the dreams written on every wall before it.
